FSU Offensive Linemen Jacky Claude and Daron Rose along with Quarterback Xavier Lee joined the students and parents of Maclay High School for the Goal Posting Ceremony.

The 2007-2008 academic year will mark the return of Maclay varsity and junior varsity football. Maclay football boosters invited former FSU football greats, Peter Boulware and Corey Simon to join the current FSU football players to speak at the event and provide some encouraging words for the student-athletes.

Xavier Lee spoke to the audience about the opportunities that have been afforded to him as a Florida State student-athlete both on the field and in the classroom. All three speakers touched on the importance of dedication not only to their sport, but also to their education and community service efforts.

The Goal Post Ceremony was held at the Maclay football field where the Maclay students took part in a punt, pass, and kick contest as well as other interactive activities. FSU football players signed autographs for the students and parents in addition to participating in some of the interactive activities with the Maclay students.
