May 4, 2007 October 28th marked the 22nd annual Bowl for Kid's Sake Fundraiser hosted by the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Big Bend organization held at Seminole Bowl. Ruairi O'Conner, Josh Spivey, and Jason Stidham, all members of the Baseball team along with Cinnamon Johnson, Tiara Swanagan, Tori Allen, Javier Garcia-Tunon, and Elliott Wood from the Track & Field teams, served as "celebrity bowlers" to help raise money for the organization. The student-athletes were split into three teams, each paired with children of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. The Seminoles put their bowling skills to the test with some help from the kids and shared some quality time with their smaller teammates for a good cause. The fundraiser was a success and motivation for a few of the student-athletes to become Big Brothers and Big Sisters. |
