Jacob Ridenhour is in his third season as a member of Leonard Hamilton's staff at Florida State. In his role as the director of operations, he brings nearly 15 years of collegiate experience to his position.
At Florida State, Ridenhour responsibilities include management of the program, team fiscal matters, all aspects of travel, academic development, contracts and team community service projects. He is the liaison with University and Athletic Administration, educators, fan groups and schools.
Ridenhour is also director of the Florida State Basketball Camps; including organizing, marketing, and operating the camps. Ridenhour has created and instituted the highly successful Florida State Team Camp with over 1,200 participants annually including national and international team - the largest of its kind at Florida State, providing significant economic and financial impact to the Tallahassee community.
Ridenhour began his career at Auburn as a team manager in 1993, eventually becoming director of operations at Auburn University, for Cliff Ellis. where he created and administered a $2.5 million budget and was primary contact to University Administration pertaining to the program while also overseeing player development. Ridenhour was the director of the highly successful Auburn Basketball Camp program from 1996-04. While at Auburn, Ridenhour was instrumental in the building of the Auburn program, reaching post season play 6 out of his 8 years and two trips to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen including an SEC Championship. He was instrumental in the development, marketing and management of the Auburn Basketball brand. He was also responsible for the design and development of the Auburn Basketball Museum and was lead in the redesign of the office and locker room renovations.
Prior to joining the Seminoles in the summer of 2005, Ridenhour participated in the Basketball Without Boarders and traveled with the NBA to Dakar, Senegal and Johannesburg, South Africa. He co-directed the Island Shootout in Nassau, Bahamas in 2004 and 2005.
A native of Salisbury, North Carolina, Ridenhour received his bachelor's degree in education from Auburn in 1995. He will complete the requirements for his Master's Degree in sport administration in Dec. of 2007.
