2003-04: Made an immediate impact for the Seminoles, earning
Honorable Mention All-America honors during her first year in
Tallahassee...Swam the breaststroke leg of the 200 medley relay
that took 11th, while also taking part in the 12th-place 400 medley
relay...Individually, placed 26th in the 100 breast with a time of
1:02.96, her second-fastest time of the year...Finished second at
the ACC Championships (Feb. 18-21) with a time of 1:02.72, the
second fastest time in the league...Also notched a season-best
time of 2:21.08 during the 200 breaststroke at the league meet to
hit the wall in 17th-place...Member of the 200 medley quartet that
set the school and conference meet record (1:40.84)...Captured
All-ACC honors in both the 100 breast and 200 medley
relay...Placed third in the 100 breaststroke at the Texas A&M Fall
Invitational (Nov. 21-23) with a career-best time of 1:02.48, the
fastest 100 breaststroke time by an ACC freshman in 2003-04,
third quickest in school history and 24th in the NCAA...Scored 11
top three finishes during the season, including four
victories...Notched four NCAA "B" cuts in the 100 breast
throughout the year with one at the 200-yard distance...Upbeat
demeanor earned her the team's Spirit Award at the annual team
banquet.
HIGH SCHOOL: Highlighted prep career with a tremendous senior
season...Earned a spot in the Senior National meet after winning
100 breaststroke at the Speedo Eastern Sectional meet...YMCA
national champion in the 100 breast and high school All-American
her final year...Earned All-State honors her final two
seasons...Owns the Eastern Zone 100 breaststroke record with a
1:02.74 as a junior...Coached by Jeff Faust at Culpeper.
